Wounded Yemeni Soldiers in Marib Denounce Government Negligence

Yemen Monitor – Marib / Exclusive:

Dozens of wounded Yemeni army soldiers held a protest on Sunday in Marib Governorate, demanding the payment of overdue salaries, improvement of their living conditions, and urgent medical treatment abroad for critical and severe cases.

The wounded soldiers condemned what they described as government negligence and procrastination in addressing their issues and failure to meet their basic rights guaranteed by the constitution and law, amid years of accumulating hardship and worsening suffering.

They called for the immediate transfer of critical cases abroad for treatment, the provision of comprehensive health insurance for disabled veterans and their families, the improvement of their living conditions, and the approval of their long-delayed promotions.
