“Passports in Aden”: Passport Booklet Crisis Ends and Printing Resumes Regularly

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Immigration, Passport, and Nationality Authority announced on Wednesday the end of the passport booklet crisis, which had caused delays in issuing passports over the past months. This comes after the first shipment of booklets arrived at the main center in the temporary capital, Aden, with additional shipments expected to arrive in the coming days to meet the needs of all Authority branches in the liberated provinces.

In a special statement, Major General Abduljabbar Salem, the Authority’s Deputy, confirmed that the crisis has ended and that the printing process will now proceed regularly across all branches. He indicated that the Authority has taken all necessary measures to ensure the continued supply of passport booklets and to prevent the recurrence of such a crisis, thereby guaranteeing efficient and smooth service delivery to citizens.

The Authority also confirmed that work is proceeding at a fast pace to print the backlog of passports accumulated during the crisis period, urging citizens to follow updates and announcements through the Authority’s official page or its branches in the provinces.
