Human Rights Organization Documents 192 Abductions by Houthis in Ibb

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Mothers of the Abducted Association (a human rights organization) has documented the abduction of 192 civilians by the Houthi group in Ibb province (central Yemen) since the beginning of this year.
In a statement, the Association said that abduction campaigns escalated last month coinciding with the national anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, as the group launched widespread abduction campaigns throughout the province.
The statement condemned in the strongest terms the repressive campaigns, which it said aim to entrench an atmosphere of fear and subjugation, and undermine the foundations of justice and the rule of law.
It confirmed that the continuation of these violations represents a crime against humanity that requires urgent action from the international community and human rights organizations to hold the perpetrators accountable.
It called for ensuring the immediate and unconditional release of all abductees and held the armed Houthi group fully responsible for the safety of the abducted individuals.
