Yemeni General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology has announced that Riyan International Airport in Hadramawt Governorate has begun operating 24 hours a day, following the completion of operational preparations to receive flights.

In an official circular, No. 04-2026, dated July 23, 2026, the Authority informed airlines and international organizations operating flights to and from Yemen that Riyan International Airport (OYRN) is now fully available for flight operations and capable of receiving aircraft at all hours.

The Authority called on all relevant entities to comply with the circular and implement its provisions effective from the date of its issuance. It stated that the move is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the operational readiness of Yemeni airports and facilitate air navigation.
