Millions of Yemenis Suffer from Lack of Safe Water Amid Escalating Humanitarian Crisis

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The humanitarian crisis in Yemen continues to worsen as the conflict persists, heavily impacting the lives of millions. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has affirmed that the need for humanitarian assistance remains urgent and cannot be overlooked.

In an official statement, the organization said that access to safe water is a major challenge for the population, especially in governorates such as Marib, which faces repeated displacement and severe economic decline.

It explained that the ongoing war has inflicted severe damage on infrastructure, with a clear impact on vital sectors such as education, depriving thousands of children of their right to learn.

The organization added that the humanitarian situation in Yemen is deteriorating further as conflicts continue, stressing that international support remains essential to maintaining community stability and meeting basic needs.
