Yemeni Army Thwarts Houthi Attack East of Taiz, Inflicting Casualties and Losses

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

Yemeni army forces on Saturday thwarted an attack launched by the terrorist Houthi militia on the Al-Kurayfat front east of the city of Taiz. The attack resulted in the death of four militia members, forcing the remaining attackers to retreat.

Taiz Military Axis Center stated that army units had repelled several infiltration attempts by the militia since the early morning hours. These attempts targeted military positions around Tabat Kar’im and Al-Tabah Alsawdaa. The center confirmed that the attempts failed after the Houthis suffered direct human losses.

The axis explained that artillery units targeted hostile Houthi movements launched from a nearby hill, which scattered the attack and forced the remaining militants to withdraw after they unsuccessfully tried to recover the bodies of their dead.

The statement noted that the “Houthi militia continues to push its fighters to the front lines in an attempt to escalate the combat situation east of the city. However, the national army forces are fully prepared to confront any anticipated attacks and deal with them decisively.”
