Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Security forces in Marib, in a joint field campaign with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, arrested traders who violated the official price lists issued by the Central Bank.
The campaign, launched under the directives of Major General Yahya Ali Hamid, the Director-General of the province’s police, and led by his assistants, directors of security zones, and police departments, was a response to citizen complaints about unjustified price increases.
During the campaign, a number of traders who exceeded the approved prices for consumer goods and food items were arrested and referred to the relevant authorities for legal action. This move aims to protect consumers and maintain market stability.
