Houthis Announce Ballistic Missile Strike on Israeli Airport

Yemen Monitor | Newsroom:

The armed Houthi group has announced that it targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport with a “Palestine-2” hypersonic ballistic missile.

In their statement, the Houthis claimed that the operation “successfully hit its target”, alleging it caused millions of Zionist settlers to flee to shelters and halted airport operations.

The group said the attack comes as part of what it calls its “fourth phase of escalation” in support of the Palestinian people and in retaliation for ongoing Israeli actions in Gaza. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree vowed that further strikes would follow, targeting “strategic and sensitive sites” in Israel and beyond if the war continues.

International responses are still unfolding, with analysts warning that such actions could provoke direct Israeli retaliation and deepen the crisis across the Middle East. The United Nations has not yet commented on the alleged attack.
