On Wednesday evening, the Israeli military announced that its air force had intercepted a drone originating from Yemen.
The military stated that the drone was “apparently” launched from Yemen and did not reach Israeli airspace.
Earlier, on Tuesday, a senior political official and spokesperson for the Houthi armed group in Yemen, Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, stated that the group is not bound by the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran.
Al-Bukhaiti told the Wall Street Journal that military operations against Israel would continue “until the aggression against Gaza stops and the blockade is lifted.”
The Houthis, allies of Iran, have largely remained on the periphery of the war launched by Israel earlier this month, though they have launched some missiles toward Israel.
In May, the Trump administration paused a two-month bombing campaign against the Houthis, stating that the group had agreed to halt their campaign against naval vessels in the Red Sea, which was launched in response to the Israeli war in Gaza.
