Tragic Health Reality… A Woman Dies Every 2 Hours in Yemen from Preventable Causes

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
International medical reports have revealed the unprecedented suffering faced by Yemeni women amid a deteriorating healthcare system, as mothers confront harsh challenges that threaten their lives and those of their newborns.
Recent data released by Doctors Without Borders (MSF) indicates that maternal death rates in Yemen have reached one death every two hours due to pregnancy and childbirth complications that could have been prevented with proper medical care.
The reports highlight the particularly dire situation in the “Khamir” district in northern Yemen, where the health crisis is worsening due to the scarcity of medical facilities and widespread poverty, preventing women from accessing even basic healthcare services.
