The Supreme Hajj Committee Reviews Preparations for the 1446 AH Hajj Season and Stresses Overcoming Obstacles for Pilgrims

The Yemeni Minister of Endowments and Guidance, Mohammed Shabiba, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Hajj Committee today, Saturday, in Aden, to review the final preparations for this year’s Hajj season. The meeting emphasized making every effort to ensure a safe and smooth journey for the pilgrims.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Health Abdullah Dahan, the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Endowments for Hajj, Umrah, and Financial Affairs, as well as the Chairman of the Land Transport Authority, Faris Sha’afal. The participants discussed reports from subcommittees regarding housing, transportation, catering, and health services, with firm directives to intensify efforts to ensure a successful Hajj season.

Shabiba confirmed that the process of dispatching pilgrims is proceeding according to the established plan. He noted the ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to facilitate travel procedures through various entry points, provide appropriate transportation, and monitor the pilgrims’ status from departure until arrival in the holy lands.

Committee members expressed their commitment to providing all necessary facilities and continuing coordination with the Saudi authorities to ensure the performance of Hajj rituals in a suitable environment. They stressed focusing on meeting the needs of Yemeni pilgrims and improving the quality of services provided to them.
