Al-Mahra: Over Four Tons of Narcotics Destroyed in the Presence of Security and Judicial Officials

Security and judicial authorities in Al-Mahra Governorate (eastern Yemen) have destroyed more than four tons of hashish and about 200 kilograms of methamphetamine (shabu), after completing legal procedures, in the presence of security and judicial leaders.
The head of the Appeal Prosecution, Judge Hani Balhaf, explained that these quantities were seized in two separate operations off the coasts of Al-Ghaydah and the Atab area, resulting in the arrest of 12 defendants of different nationalities, while the total value of the seized items was estimated at more than seven billion Yemeni rials.
The Director of Al-Mahra Security, Brigadier General Mufti Samouda, affirmed that the destruction process represents a decisive message against smugglers, praising the cooperation of all security agencies and calling on citizens not to harbor promoters.
