Houthi Media: Casualties in Sana’a Airstrikes

Yemen Monitor/Sana’a/Special:
Eight Yemenis were killed and others injured on Sunday in US airstrikes on an area north of Sana’a, according to media outlets of the armed Houthi group.
These outlets reported: “Eight dead, including children and women, and a number of injured in a preliminary toll from the US airstrikes on the ‘Thaqban’ area in Bani Al-Harith district north of Sana’a.”
Residents said that three houses were destroyed in the bombing.
Sources had told “Yemen Monitor” that the sound of two airstrikes was heard in the area.
In March 2025, the US launched a large-scale military campaign against the Houthis in Yemen, under the leadership of President Donald Trump. The operation began on March 15th and targeted strategic sites such as Houthi air defense systems, radars, and drones. This campaign was described as the most powerful in the Middle East since Trump assumed the presidency, and aimed to restore security in the Red Sea after a series of Houthi attacks on commercial and military vessels.
