Military Expert Reveals Houthi Strategy to Target Marib Amidst Setbacks in Hodaidah

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Yemeni military expert Ali al-Dhahab has revealed the plans adopted by the Houthis to target the city of Marib, explaining that these steps come as a way for them to compensate for their deteriorating situation in Hodaidah.
Al-Dhahab pointed out that the Houthis are focusing their efforts intensely on the Marib fronts, which are considered a strategic location that enables them to reach gas and oil-rich areas, providing them with an opportunity to expand towards Shabwa and Hadramout.
He added that controlling Marib would not hold strategic value if the Houthis do not succeed in advancing through it, especially in light of their declining defensive capabilities in Hodaidah.
He also reported that the Houthi forces are currently facing significant pressure on the Marib fronts, where they are subjected to strong attacks that make it difficult for them to achieve their planned scenario.
