Intense US Airstrikes Hit Saada and Kamaran in Northern and Western Yemen

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
US air operations continued their strikes inside Yemen, with a series of raids targeting Houthi positions in several governorates, including Saada, the group’s main stronghold located in the north of the country.
According to media sources affiliated with the Houthi group, the strikes included Kamaran Island off the Red Sea coast, in addition to four concentrated raids targeting the Al Salem district in Saada Governorate.
According to the sources, the air operations extended from Monday evening until dawn on Tuesday, totaling about 40 raids, targeting the capital Sana’a and the governorates of Marib and Hodeidah, as part of an ongoing escalation wave.
The same sources indicate that the US has launched nearly a thousand airstrikes on Yemen since mid-March, resulting in the deaths of 217 people and the injury of 436 others, the majority of whom were women and children.
Earlier on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump announced the implementation of a series of large-scale airstrikes against Houthi group positions in Yemen, confirming the targeting of the group’s leaders, command and control facilities, and ammunition depots.
Trump stressed that military operations will continue until the Houthis’ threats to navigation in the Red Sea cease, adding that these strikes aim to protect US and commercial ships and ensure freedom of navigation in international sea lanes.
The US President affirmed that his country will continue to use “overwhelming deadly force” against the Houthis until they stop their attacks.
