Two people lost their lives, and eight others were injured, including critical cases, following the overturning of a SUV vehicle on the Naqil Al-Munim road in Jabal Habashi District, Taiz Governorate, southwestern Yemen.
A local source explained that “the accident occurred due to the use of secondary mountainous roads as a result of the Houthis’ continued blockade of main roads, forcing travelers to use unprepared routes.”
The suffering of Taiz residents continues under these circumstances, as the closure of roads by the Houthis has led to deadly accidents occurring almost daily, resulting in the deaths of dozens, including women and children.
Residents are calling on international organizations and relevant authorities to pressure the Houthis to reopen main roads to reduce risks to civilians’ lives.
