Ministry of Higher Education Warns of Forged Certificates Issued by Private University in Sana’a

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Technical Education and Vocational Training has warned students against dealing with educational documents and certificates bearing forged stamps and signatures, confirming the discovery of a number of illegal documents issued by a private university under the control of the coup authorities in Sana’a.
In a warning announcement, the Ministry urged all students to verify the authenticity of stamps and signatures issued by the authorized certification body at the Ministry of Higher Education in the temporary capital, Aden, as it is the official and legally recognized authority.
The Ministry clarified that the seized documents contain forged stamps and signatures not issued by it, noting that the university that issued them is not recognized by the Ministry, rendering those certificates invalid and illegal.
It affirmed that it will initiate procedures to track the forged documents through the relevant official authorities inside and outside Yemen and take necessary legal measures against those involved in forging or using them.
The Ministry renewed its warning to students against dealing with or using these documents in any official transactions, due to the potential legal accountability that may result, urging everyone to exercise caution and refer to the competent authorities before authenticating any educational certificate or document.
