Hadramowt: Urgent Distress Call to Save Residents of Ash-Shihr and Ad-Days Ash-Sharqiyah

Residents of villages and mountainous areas in the districts of Ash-Shihr and Ad-Days Ash-Sharqiyah in Hadramowt Governorate have issued an urgent appeal to the relevant authorities and human rights organizations.
Human rights sources said that these areas are suffering from a suffocating siege imposed by forces of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) since last Friday on Wadi Khard, severely disrupting residents’ daily lives.
The siege is considered a serious violation of humanitarian norms, as it affects unarmed civilians, including the elderly, the sick, and children.
Residents stressed their urgent need to reach the city of Ash-Shihr via safe routes in order to obtain medical treatment and meet their basic needs.
They called for immediate intervention to end the siege and urged all parties to take swift action to rescue the besieged residents.
