Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Directs Aid for Families of Traffic Accident Victims in Abyan and Care for the Injured

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, today directed the government and local authorities to provide comprehensive care for the injured and to assist the families of the victims of the traffic accident that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday in Abyan province (southeastern Yemen).
During two phone calls with the Governor of Abyan Province, Major General Abubakr Hussein, and the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Buhaibah, Al-Alimi received reports on the rescue operations, the conditions of the injured, and the necessary measures to deal with the aftermath of the accident. He stressed the importance of coordination between central and local authorities to ensure a rapid response and alleviate the suffering of the affected families.
The Chairman of the Leadership Council expressed profound grief and sorrow for this painful incident and directed the implementation of periodic maintenance for public roads, the enhancement of traffic safety measures, and the reduction of the recurrence of such tragic accidents that claim the lives of dozens of innocent people.
It is worth mentioning that the overturning of a passenger transport bus led to dozens of casualties, both dead and wounded, in the early hours of the morning in the Arqoub area of Abyan province.
