“Al-Arada” Urges Unification of National Ranks to Confront the Houthis and Restore the State

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

Major General Sultan al-Arada, a member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, urged political forces to overcome differences and unify efforts to confront the current challenges, foremost of which is ending the Houthi group’s rebellion and restoring state institutions.

This came during his meeting with the head and members of the National Bloc of Political Parties and Components, where al-Arada stressed the importance of strengthening national alignment and unifying political and media discourse, calling for moving away from bickering and focusing on the supreme national interest.

Al-Arada affirmed that the current stage requires national cohesion to support the armed forces in their battle against the Iranian-backed Houthis, pointing out that the continuation of political divisions hinders efforts to restore the state and prolongs the suffering of the Yemeni people.

For his part, the head of the National Bloc of Yemeni Parties, Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr, expressed his appreciation for al-Arada’s efforts in unifying the national ranks, affirming the bloc’s commitment to supporting legitimacy and joint action to end the Houthi coup and achieve peace and stability in Yemen.
