Yemenia Airways Confirms Stable Ticket Prices Despite Rising Operational Costs

Yemen Monitor/ Newsroom:
Yemen Airways (Yemenia), the country’s sole national carrier, confirmed the stability of ticket prices on its flights despite fuel costs and ground service and handling fees at external stations rising by more than 100% due to regional political tensions.
Hatem Othman al-Shaabi, the company’s official spokesperson, told the official Yemeni News Agency that the decision to freeze prices is “a reflection of the essence of the company’s national mission and an appreciation for the difficult circumstances the country is undergoing.”
He added that the airlift provided by Yemenia represents a “lifeline connecting the Yemeni people with their families and giving them hope,” emphasizing the company’s commitment to continuing its services without burdening passengers with additional costs during this sensitive stage.
