Sabotage Takes Internet Service Offline At The Yemeni Government Headquarters In Aden

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Local and media sources said that an act of sabotage caused the “Aden Net” internet service to be cut off from the Yemeni government headquarters at Ma’ashiq Palace in the temporary capital, Aden.
According to the sources, individuals believed to be affiliated with the dissolved Southern Transitional Council carried out a deliberate theft last night of the electrical cables supplying power to the Aden Net service tower located inside the Yemeni presidential palace, where the new government has been residing since returning from Riyadh.
Journalist Amin Barfid reported, citing special sources, that elements linked to the former council president Aidarus al‑Zubaidi stole the power cable of the internet tower, causing the service outage.
He added that an on-site inspection revealed a dedicated cable line extending from the main Aden Net tower to a villa where Aidarus al-Zubaidi had been staying within Ma’ashiq Palace.
It is worth noting that the dissolved Transitional Council had previously announced through some of its leaders that it would not allow the new government to remain in Aden, and called for a mass demonstration next Friday under the slogan “Steadfastness and Decision.”
