Security agencies in Taiz Governorate (southwestern Yemen) on Sunday arrested a suspect wanted by police in Al‑Mahrah (eastern Yemen) on criminal charges.
Security media said that joint coordination between the police of Taiz and Al-Mahrah led to the arrest of an individual identified by the initials (M.A.A.), who was wanted in connection with involvement in several serious criminal cases.
It added that the arrest came after a precise surveillance and investigation operation, carried out in coordination with the General Directorate of Command and Control at the Ministry of Interior. The suspect has been placed in custody to complete the necessary legal procedures ahead of his transfer to the competent authorities in Al-Mahrah Governorate.
The statement affirmed that Taiz police will continue to strengthen coordination and cooperation with various security agencies across the governorates, contributing to the consolidation of security and stability and the pursuit of wanted individuals, as well as the apprehension of anyone who attempts to threaten public safety and social peace.
