In Consultative Meeting in Riyadh… Yemeni Presidential Council Member Abdullah Al-Alimi Stresses Security and Developmental Support for Shabwa

Presidential Leadership Council member Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi participated in an extensive consultative meeting for the people of Shabwa Governorate, held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The meeting was attended by Shabwa Governor Sheikh Awad Mohammed bin Al-Wazir, Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, alongside security, military, social leaders, and residents of the governorate from various districts.
In his speech, Dr. Al-Alimi emphasized the full support provided by the Presidential Leadership Council to Shabwa, pointing to its strategic location, economic and human importance, and the components it possesses that make it a fundamental tributary to national security, stability, and development.
He noted that Shabwa today is united by its people, calling for an end to any exclusionary practices and for unifying ranks behind the local authority to support development efforts and preserve achieved gains.
He also saluted the sacrifices of the heroes of the armed forces and security, including the Shabwa Defense Forces and the Giants Brigades, praising their role in maintaining stability and safeguarding security.
Al-Alimi affirmed the importance of the Saudi-sponsored Southern-Southern Dialogue as a platform for unifying efforts and building a cohesive south. He indicated that the dialogue’s outcomes would receive Saudi support to meet the aspirations of southerners and enhance stability, especially in Shabwa Governorate. He also praised the fraternal role of Saudi Arabia in supporting the governorate economically, security-wise, and in services, and its efforts in sparing Shabwa from sliding into internal conflicts.
For his part, Shabwa Governor Sheikh Awad bin Al-Wazir stressed the importance of awareness among the people of the governorate and their cooperation with the local authority leadership in consolidating security and improving service levels. He affirmed Shabwa’s keenness to actively participate in the Southern-Southern Dialogue to guarantee the rights of its people and complete the development journey.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants expressed their appreciation for the efforts being made, confirming that such consultative meetings contribute to enhancing communication, unifying ranks, and supporting the path of stability and development in Shabwa.
