Yemeni Presidential Council Member Abdullah Al-Alimi Meets with Chief of General Staff

Presidential Leadership Council member Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi met with the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, and leaders from the Ministry of Defense to discuss developments in the field situation and the level of combat readiness on various fronts.
During the meeting, Al-Alimi praised the sacrifices made by the armed forces in defending the Republic. He emphasized that the current stage requires unifying military command and raising alert levels to confront the Houthi militias and terrorist organizations. He also commended the pivotal support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in building and rehabilitating the military institution.
He highlighted the important role of the Supreme Military Committee in supporting efforts to organize and coordinate military work, which contributes to enhancing readiness and the effectiveness of the forces.
The Presidential Leadership Council member stressed the Council’s and the government’s commitment to overcoming obstacles facing the armed forces, providing the requirements for the defense of the Republic, and enabling them to perform their national role in extending state authority over the entire national territory.
For his part, Lieutenant General bin Aziz affirmed the readiness of the armed forces and their high preparedness to deal with all field developments to ensure the restoration of the state and the end of the coup. Al-Alimi, in turn, reaffirmed the Leadership Council’s commitment to providing all necessary resources to enable the army to carry out its national tasks.
