Aden Security Committee Emphasizes Importance of Community Partnership in Strengthening Stability

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Security Committee in the capital, Aden, held an extensive meeting today to discuss the latest security developments. The meeting included leadership from the National Security Apparatus (formerly the Security Belt) and several leaders from the Aden Security Directorate.
The Governor of Aden, Abdulrahman Sheikh, stressed the necessity of unifying efforts and raising the level of coordination among various security branches. He urged them to work with a team spirit while remaining in a state of constant vigilance to confront any threats to the security and stability of the capital.
The Committee underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between security agencies and the local community, highlighting the pivotal role of citizens in reporting suspicious movements or practices. Such collaboration, it noted, contributes to consolidating security and building mutual trust.
The meeting reviewed the overall security situation and discussed mechanisms for developing joint operations to enhance readiness and response speed to potential challenges.
Furthermore, the Committee praised the significant and continuous support provided by the Arab Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This support includes training and rehabilitating security and military forces, contributing to the payment of salaries, and organizing the withdrawal of military units from cities—all of which have helped normalize public life and bolster security and stability.
