“Nation’s Shield” Forces Take Over Seiyun International Airport and Strategic Sites in Hadramawt
Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Today, the Nation’s Shield (Dir’ al-Watan) forces officially took over security duties for Seiyun International Airport in Wadi Hadramawt (Eastern Yemen) from the Yemeni Emergency Forces. This move is part of a broad deployment plan aimed at protecting vital facilities across the governorate.
Simultaneously, for the second consecutive day, units from the Nation’s Shield forces continued taking over military camps in the Rumah District from the Emergency Forces (3rd Division – 2nd Brigade). This transition is part of an organized military handover intended to unify security efforts and support regional stability.
These rapid field developments follow the Nation’s Shield forces’ completion of the handover of the Kharkhir border camp—located between Al-Mahrah and Saudi Arabia—from the Emergency Forces yesterday.
It is worth noting that the 7th Brigade of the Nation’s Shield forces began its deployment two days ago across several strategic locations on the Hadramawt coast, including Al-Adwas, Haswin, Ras Huwayrah, Ad-Dar Al-Bayda, Al-Khalif, and Bayn al-Jibal.
