Earthquake off the Coasts of Hadramawt and Al-Mahrah

Seismic monitoring stations belonging to the Arab Center recorded four earthquakes off the coasts of the Al-Mahrah and Hadramawt governorates in Yemen.
The highest magnitude recorded was 5.3 on the Richter scale, located approximately 491 kilometers from the city of Al-Mukalla.
This seismic activity is part of a series of tremors recorded in the Gulf of Aden and parts of the western regions during the current month of January. These quakes occurred along a transform tectonic fault characterized by a northeasterly movement.
No significant risks are expected as a result of these tremors.
