Yemeni Prime Minister Sets Priorities for the Next Phase

The Prime Minister, Dr. Shaea Mohsen Al-Zandani, affirmed that improving institutional performance, enhancing the effectiveness of government work, and entrenching the principles of efficiency and integrity are at the top of the government’s priorities in the coming phase.

During his meeting today, Monday, with the Ambassador of the United States to Yemen, Steven Fagin, he explained that these steps are aimed directly at raising levels of achievement and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of international partners’ support for the government’s efforts to implement economic and administrative reform programs, strengthen stability, and enable state institutions to carry out their duties, noting that such support represents a fundamental pillar for the success of the recovery process and state-building.

For his part, the U.S. Ambassador congratulated Dr. Al-Zandani on his appointment as Prime Minister and his mandate to form the new government, wishing him success, and affirming his country’s support for the government’s efforts to confront challenges and enhance stability.
