The Appellate Division of the Specialized Criminal Court has issued a decision to release journalist Mohammed Al-Miyahi, more than a year after his arrest by the Houthi group in Sana’a.
The National Organization of Media Professionals “Sada” quoted what it described as confirmed sources as saying that the decision came after a prolonged period of detention without trial.
This step comes amid increasing local and international pressure to release detained journalists in Yemen.
