The French Republic, on Monday, affirmed its continued full support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government, reiterating its clear commitment to preserving Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and the necessity of pushing for de-escalation and political dialogue.
The French position came during a meeting between the French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, and the Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Othman Mujali. They discussed the latest political and military developments on the Yemeni scene and their repercussions on peace efforts.
In a post published on the platform X, the French ambassador conveyed her country’s emphasis on supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government, stressing the steadfastness of France’s position towards Yemen’s unity and its rejection of any infringement on its sovereignty or territories.
