The editorial of the Saudi newspaper Okaz affirmed on Monday the importance of all Yemeni factions rallying around the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to overcome the crisis in the eastern provinces.
According to the newspaper, this call aims to restore understanding and harmony among the parties, which would normalize the situation and sustain collective efforts towards reclaiming Yemen through a peaceful process supported by Saudi Arabia, the United Nations, and the international community.
The editorial emphasized that Saudi Arabia represents the true supporter of Yemen and its people under all circumstances, and is committed to its security, stability, and prosperity, working to spare Yemen the scourges of wars, conflicts, and disputes among its components.
It noted that these efforts seek a dignified life for Yemenis, in line with other peoples of the world.
Today, Yemen is on a path to recovery due to support from Saudi Arabia and the international community, amid a complex situation that cannot bear further crises hindering de-escalation, reconstruction, and prosperity.
The newspaper believes that Yemen is going through a critical juncture that Saudi Arabia is seeking to address and overcome its repercussions, out of concern for its security, stability, and the interests of its people—who appreciate Saudi stances and hope for a secure and stable Yemen enjoying development and prosperity.
