Al-Arada: The Leadership is Monitoring Developments Moment by Moment, and We Will Not Retreat from Restoring the State

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

In a meeting described as the broadest in months, Presidential Leadership Council Member Sultan Al-Arada gathered senior military commanders in Marib Governorate, in the presence of Yemeni Army Chief of Staff Sagheer bin Aziz, to discuss the situation on the fronts and ways to enhance readiness in facing the Houthi escalation.

During the meeting, Al-Arada reviewed the course of the battle since its beginning, emphasizing that Marib was the dam against which the Iranian project in Yemen shattered. He added that the steadfastness of the armed forces, security personnel, and popular resistance was not merely a defense of a city, but a defense of a nation’s identity and the future of its generations.

Al-Arada stressed that the current phase does not tolerate laxity, affirming that “Yemen today needs every effort, every weapon, and every sincere stance.” He called for unifying ranks, consolidating efforts, and reviving the national spirit as a decisive factor in the continuation of the battle.

Al-Arada also called for raising combat readiness, activating discipline and coordination among units, alongside enhancing intelligence work in light of Houthi attempts to exploit any field vulnerability. He affirmed that vigilance and preparedness are the first line of defense against any attempts to breach government forces’ lines.

The Leadership Council member indicated that President Rashad Al-Alimi is monitoring the details of recent events moment by moment, and that the political leadership is committed to strengthening the internal front and supporting forces on various fronts. He emphasized that the complex circumstances would only increase the determination of loyal Yemenis to restore state institutions.

This meeting comes in the context of accelerated military and political moves, as the Houthis continue attempts to achieve field gains. At the same time, the Leadership Council seeks to reorganize ranks and activate state institutions on the ground following recent developments in Hadramawt and Al-Mahra Governorates, which resulted from their fall into the hands of secessionist Transitional Council forces.
