Five people were killed and six others injured, most of them critically, after a passenger transport bus overturned in the Naqil Hayfan area of Taiz governorate in southern Yemen.
The bus was heading towards the city of Aden when the accident occurred, according to local sources on Tuesday.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene to provide first aid to the injured and transport them to Al-Rahida Hospital for treatment, in addition to completing procedures for handling the fatalities.
The mountainous road in Naqil Hayfan witnesses frequent accidents, reigniting calls to enhance traffic safety measures to reduce such disasters.
