Houthis Launch New Arrest Campaign in Dhamar

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Houthi group launched a new wave of arrests today, Monday, in Dhamar Governorate, targeting several social figures and local leaders affiliated with the Islah Party.
According to a local source quoted by journalist Fares Al-Himyari, those arrested included former party leader Mohammed Al-Shaghdari, the former head of the Islah Party’s media office in the governorate. He was detained by armed Houthi members at the Radaa Roundabout in Dhamar city this morning before being taken to an undisclosed location.
This campaign comes amid escalating political and security tensions in the governorate, as the Houthi group continues to tighten its grip on political opponents, according to local sources.
