Yemen Monitor/ Newsroom:

Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, returned on Tuesday to the temporary Yemeni capital, Aden, following a series of important consultations with regional and international brothers, friends, and partners. These discussions addressed the latest developments in the situation in Yemen and the region, as well as ways to support the comprehensive reform path in the country.

In a statement to the official Yemeni News Agency, the Yemeni President renewed his warm congratulations to the masses of the Yemeni people at home and abroad on the occasion of the sixty-second anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution. He affirmed that this immortal day will remain a symbol of the unity of national will and common destiny, and a renewed source of inspiration for generations in building a state of justice and equal citizenship.

The Chairman of the Council emphasized that the current national battle is a natural extension of the great October epic in confronting the project of the Imamate and the coup. He called on all forces and political components to unite their ranks and words, and to begin a new stage of constructive national work based on restoring state institutions and alleviating the suffering of citizens, which has been exacerbated by the reckless adventures of the Houthi militia.

The President praised the efforts of the government and the Central Bank of Yemen in implementing the comprehensive reform matrix and achieving positive indicators in monetary stability. He stressed the importance of completing this path with a team spirit and enhancing institutional coordination to serve the citizens and strengthen the confidence of the donor community at all levels.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council also expressed great gratitude to the brothers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE for their continuous support of the reform path and their humanitarian and developmental interventions in various fields. He affirmed that their steadfast positions represent a fundamental pillar in Yemen’s journey towards peace, stability, reconstruction, and building.

He pointed out that the past period witnessed the achievement of important gains in enhancing the legal standing of the state in the temporary capital, Aden. These included the transfer of financial centers and headquarters of a number of international organizations, increased diplomatic accreditation, alongside increased pressure on the terrorist Houthi militia and the drying up of their sources of funding and arming.

He confirmed at the conclusion of his statement that the Presidential Leadership Council is steadfastly proceeding towards building a strong and just state of institutions that responds to the aspirations of the Yemeni people for freedom, dignity, and a decent life, drawing from the spirit of the glorious October an unyielding determination and insistence on restoring the nation and building its bright future.
