Young Man Killed, Child Injured by Houthi Landmine in Lahj

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
A young man in his twenties was killed and a child severely injured on Sunday evening due to the explosion of a landmine and an unexploded ordnance left behind by the Houthi group in Kirrsh District, north of Lahj Governorate, southern Yemen.
Local sources told September Net that floods had swept a landmine near the home of Ali Ghalib Ali Jadeeb (20 years old) in the Al-Huwaini area, causing it to explode and kill him instantly.
In a separate incident, 12-year-old Ayman Ahmed Saleh was injured while herding sheep near the Kirrsh market when an explosive remnant of war detonated. He sustained serious injuries and was transferred to a hospital in the temporary capital, Aden, for treatment.
