Yemeni Parties Bloc Denies Claims of Submitting Proposal to Restructure Presidential Leadership Council
Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
An official source in the Supreme Council of the National Bloc of Yemeni Parties and Political Components denied media reports claiming that the bloc had submitted a proposal to Saudi Arabia regarding changes to the Presidential Leadership Council, including amendments to its composition or restructuring.
The source stressed that such allegations are completely unfounded, urging media outlets to adhere to professionalism and credibility, and to avoid spreading unverified information aimed at fueling divisions within the ranks of legitimacy.
The bloc emphasized that the national priority at this stage must remain focused on unifying efforts to confront the Houthi coup and restore state institutions, rather than being distracted by smear campaigns.
Some media outlets had reported that Saudi Arabia rejected a proposal allegedly submitted by Yemeni parties, saying it did not rise to the level of a roadmap, failed to address the core of the crisis, and urged the parties to demonstrate their presence among the public and rally mass support for their vision instead of relying on political papers detached from reality.
