Al-Mahra Police Arrest 38 Suspects in Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling Cases

Security forces in Al-Mahra governorate announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of 38 suspects in three separate operations in the Shahen district. The suspects were allegedly involved in human trafficking, smuggling undocumented migrants of African nationalities to neighboring countries, and smuggling contraband.
According to a police statement, the first operation resulted in the arrest of 7 suspects, the second in one suspect, and the third in the detention of 30 suspects.
Al-Mahra police confirmed that all suspects have been placed in detention to complete legal procedures, emphasizing their commitment to continuing efforts to combat smuggling and human trafficking networks to maintain security, stability, and prevent illicit activities.
