Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Major General Talib Saeed Barjash, commander of the Second Military Region, has warned of a Houthi plot to destabilize security and stability in the Hadramout coast. He confirmed that movements of local elements directly linked to the Houthi group have been monitored.
The warning came during his visit today, Tuesday, to the Rapid Intervention Force in the city of Mukalla, where he attended the morning assembly and was briefed on the readiness of the military units.
Barjash said that confirmed intelligence information revealed the presence of elements in the Hadramout coast that receive financial and media support from the Houthis. These elements are working to implement a destructive agenda aimed at inciting chaos and tarnishing the image of the armed forces.
He added that there are parties acting as Houthi arms in the region, affirming that these movements have been exposed and will be dealt with firmly and in accordance with the law. He called on citizens to cooperate with security services and report any suspicious movements.
The commander of the Second Military Region stressed the need to raise readiness, vigilance, and coordination among all military and security units to face current challenges and counter any attempts that threaten the security and stability of Hadramout.
At the conclusion of his speech, Major General Barjash paid tribute to the Rapid Intervention Force, praising its discipline and high readiness, and the vital role it plays in protecting the Hadramout coast.
