Yemeni President Appoints Secretary-General of the Supreme Judicial Council

On Monday, Head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad al-Alimi, announced the appointment of a new Secretary-General for the Supreme Judicial Council.
According to the official Yemeni News Agency “Saba”, Judge Suhail Mohammed Hamzah Nasser was appointed as Secretary-General of the Supreme Judicial Council and as a member of the Council.
The agency stated that the decision was based on “the Constitution, the Judicial Authority Law and its amendments, the references of the transitional phase, the approval of the Supreme Judicial Council, and the proposal of the Council President.”
Judge Suhail Mohammed Nasser was born in the city of Aden in 1962. He holds an advanced diploma in criminal and civil judiciary from the Higher Institute for Judicial Studies, obtained in 1994.
In 2022, he was appointed Secretary-General of the Supreme Court of the Republic.
