Israel Announces Interception of Two Missiles Fired by Houthis

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The Israeli army announced today, Monday, that it detected the launch of two missiles from Yemen towards Israeli territory, stating that efforts were underway to intercept them. The results of the interception attempts have not yet been announced.
Sirens were activated in several areas within Israel, leading to widespread alert and rapid deployment of security measures across the country, according to an Israeli army statement.
In a reaction from the Houthi group, the deputy head of the group’s media body said, “Gaza is not alone, and Yemen does not sleep on injustice,” adding that “the Zionists should head to shelters, for those who attack Gaza and us will not sleep peacefully.”
The Israeli army had earlier launched intensive airstrikes on multiple targets in the city of Hudaidah, as well as the ports of Salif and Ras Isa, and the Ras al-Khatib power station, as part of a military operation named “Black Flag.”
Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, affirmed that the operation targeted what he described as “terrorist sites,” warning the Houthi group that they would pay a “heavy price,” and emphasizing that “whoever raises a hand against us will have it cut off.”
