Hayel Saeed Anam & Co. Group—one of the largest companies in Yemen and the region—has announced the appointment of veteran businessman Mr. Dirham Abdo Saeed Anam as Chairman of the Board of Directors, succeeding Mr. Abduljabbar Hayel Saeed Anam, who held the position for over 13 years.
This appointment marks a pivotal moment in the group’s history, which dates back to 1938. The company is one of the largest multinational family-owned groups in the Middle East, employing over 35,000 employees across 80 global markets.
Mr. Dirham’s appointment crowns a distinguished career spanning more than 40 years, during which he played a key role in the group’s growth and expansion across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
He previously served as Vice Chairman of the Board and played a crucial role in shaping the Group’s strategic vision and strengthening its position in global markets.
In his first statement following the appointment, Mr. Dirham said:

According to the group’s statement, Mr. Abduljabbar Hayel Saeed Anam will continue to provide strategic oversight by chairing the Owners’ Representative Council, ensuring sound governance and continuity of the corporate vision.
