Local authorities in Marib announced on Tuesday a massive fire that completely consumed three homes in the “Al-Tadhamon” internally displaced persons (IDP) camp, located in the Jaw Al-Naseem area northeast of the city.
An official statement from the authorities said that civil defense teams from the governorate’s police managed to quickly control and extinguish the blaze. The statement confirmed that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in one of the homes.
The statement also reported that the fire caused partial damage to two additional homes, along with significant material losses. However, there were no human casualties among the displaced residents in the camp.
