Yemeni Interior Ministry: 17 Suspects Arrested in Various Criminal Cases Within 24 Hours

The Yemeni Ministry of Interior announced that police departments in the liberated governorates (from the Houthis) received 22 reports of criminal cases yesterday. They successfully apprehended suspects in 14 of these cases, while efforts are still underway to investigate eight other cases in Aden, Taiz, and coastal Hadramout.
Reports from the Command and Control Center indicated that the crimes apprehended included four cases of minor intentional harm, two cases of drug possession and use, in addition to cases of murder, attempted murder, assault on private property, insult and defamation, theft, threats, indecent acts, and firearms discharge.
The Ministry confirmed that the police arrested 17 suspects across several governorates: 6 suspects in Al-Mahra, 5 in Marib, and 3 in Al-Dhale. Additionally, one suspect each was apprehended in Taiz, Shabwah, and Hajjah.
The Ministry noted that all suspects are currently detained to complete the necessary legal procedures against them. It reiterated its commitment to continuing efforts to combat crime and enhance security in all liberated areas.
