Yemeni Pilgrims Ascend to Mina in Preparation for Hajj Rituals

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

This morning, the eighth day of Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH, Yemen’s Minister of Endowments and Guidance, Mohammed bin Ayda Shabibah, launched the process of transporting Yemeni pilgrims to Mina. This marks the commencement of the holy rituals, as part of the executive plan for this year’s Hajj season.

The launch ceremony took place in front of the pilgrim towers in Mecca, with the presence of Deputy Minister of Endowments Sheikh Anwar Al-Amari. The Minister observed the departure of the buses designated for transporting pilgrims and conducted field inspections of several of them. He reviewed the conditions of the pilgrims inside the buses and praised the organization and discipline.

In a press statement, Minister Shabibah affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to smoothly executing the Hajj plan stages, prioritizing service, health, and security aspects. He emphasized that the comfort and safety of Yemeni pilgrims are of utmost priority.

He added, “We are honored to serve the guests of Rahman (God), and we ensure that their spiritual journey is filled with reassurance from the moment of travel until the completion of the rituals, God willing.”

The Ministry of Endowments had previously signed contracts with accredited transportation companies holding local and international quality certifications. These companies possess a fleet of modern 2025 model buses, equipped with comfort facilities and advanced technologies to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

The Minister was accompanied during the tour by the Undersecretary of the Hajj and Umrah Sector, Mukhtar bin Al-Khidr Al-Rabash Al-Haithami, along with several sector officials and members of the field committees.
