Israel Announces the Destruction of the Last Aircraft at Sana’a Airport, Vows More Strikes

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out airstrikes on Sana’a International Airport, which is under Houthi control.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Katz confirmed that the airstrikes destroyed the last remaining aircraft belonging to the Houthis, noting that other planes had already been destroyed in a previous strike on the airport on May 6.

The Israeli minister stated that these strikes are part of Israel’s ongoing policy of forceful retaliation against any attacks targeting the country, saying, “Anyone who fires at the State of Israel will pay a heavy price.”

Katz vowed to continue intensively targeting Yemeni ports, repeatedly destroying Sana’a Airport, and striking other strategic infrastructure used by the Houthis and their allies in the region.
