New Procedures to Control Drug Sales in Al-Mahra

The office of the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Al-Mahra governorate has issued a new circular aimed at regulating the sale of medicines and medical supplies. The circular mandates that all relevant parties must obtain the necessary licenses before selling, whether wholesale or retail.
The circular, signed by Awad Mubarak Saad, Director-General of the Health and Population Office in the governorate, and Anas Al-Bashiri, Director of Medical and Pharmaceutical Services Administration, clarified that the sale of medicines must be restricted to licensed medical facilities, pharmacies, and drug warehouses.
The circular indicated that wholesale drug sales are only permitted through specialized and licensed drug agencies, warning that violators of these instructions will face legal accountability and appropriate penalties.
The office further emphasized in its circular that the competent authorities will conduct field inspections and continuous monitoring to detect any violations and implement the necessary procedures to safeguard public health and ensure the legal and safe availability of medicines.
