Hadramout: Inauguration of Oxygen Plant and Free Medicine Distribution for Heart Patients with Saudi Support

The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hadramout Governorate, Saleh Aboud Al-Omqi, inaugurated today, Wednesday, in Al-Mukalla city, the receipt of a shipment of medicines designated for patients with heart conditions and chronic diseases, alongside the opening of a factory for the production and filling of medical oxygen cylinders, funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief).

During the inauguration, Al-Omqi was briefed on the free clinic that will provide medicines for patients with heart conditions, blood pressure, and diabetes, which is expected to benefit about three thousand patients free of charge for a full year.

He also inaugurated the oxygen production plant belonging to the “Nabd Al-Hayat Center” for Cardiac Diseases and Surgery, which has a production capacity of about 100 cylinders per day, provided free of charge to the center and to needy patients in Hadramout Governorate.

This support comes within the framework of the continuous efforts provided by KSRelief to enhance the health sector in Hadramout Governorate and provide the necessary support to medical centers and hospitals, especially concerning the treatment of chronic diseases and the provision of emergency medical services.

Al-Omqi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the Kingdom, those in charge of KSRelief, and all workers at the Nabd Al-Hayat Center, praising the successful management and medical services provided by the center to the people of Hadramout and all governorates of Yemen.

This intervention is considered a qualitative step to strengthen health capacities in Hadramout and provide integrated treatment services to citizens, in light of the increasing health challenges facing the country.
