US Defense Secretary to Iran: We See Your Lethal Support for the Houthis – You Will Pay the Price

On Thursday, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth vowed that the Islamic Republic of Iran would pay the price for its continued support of the Houthi armed group in Yemen, as the US has been conducting an ongoing aerial campaign since March 15.
In a post on “X”, the Defense Secretary stated:
“A message to Iran: We see your Lethal support for the Houthis. We know exactly what you’re doing.”
He added: “You are well aware of what the U.S. military is capable of. You have been warned. You will pay the price at the time and place of our choosing.”
Message to IRAN:
We see your LETHAL support to The Houthis. We know exactly what you are doing.
You know very well what the U.S. Military is capable of — and you were warned. You will pay the CONSEQUENCE at the time and place of our choosing.

Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen have been subjected to near-daily airstrikes, for which the Houthis blame the US. These strikes have intensified since Washington announced on March 15 the launch of a military operation aimed at halting the Houthis’ attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
